What are the dates for the 2024 season?

We will host the Forward Farmers Market on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month from May through October, 2024.

July 13 & 27
August 10 & 24
September 14 & 28
October 12 & 26

What hours will the Market be open?

We’ll be open to the public from 9 am to 1 pm. Parking is free.
 

Vendors have 1 hour prior for set-up & 1 hour after for breakdown and clean-up. Volunteers will be available to assist vendors get tents and tables up.

​Is there a deadline to apply to be a Vendor?

Yes!

 

We’re glad you asked!

The deadline to sign up is March 15, 2024. Vendor space fee must be submitted in order to participate.

​What is the cost for the vendors?

  1. Vendor cost will remain $30 per market day. 
    Need more than a 10x10 space? You got it for half-price!

    Vendors will receive added services from FWF at no additional cost! Including:
    Free advertising & individual vendor promo, using your photos or short video and a write-up about your products! 

    Free optional vendor training session to help you maximize your profitability!

What size is the vendor space?

A single space is 10’ x 10’.

 

Same size as a pop-up tent.

​What if I need more space than 10x10?

Need more space? You got it! Additional 10x10 spaces may be added at $15 per market day.

 

Please request the extra space on the application, before the Vendor Map is completed.

​Is equipment being provided, i.e. - tents & tables?

No. We do not provide equipment.

​

Pop-up tents are recommended for shade but not required.

Signs are required to post prices. A sign with your business name is recommended.

Design your space to suit your style!. Have fun with it!

​After I submit an application, is there anything else I need to do?

  1. Yes! PG County requires Farms & cooked food vendors to have a Farmers Market or Health permit to sell. You must submit a copy of your permit to Forward Farmers Market by April 30, 2024. (Cottage Food sellers are exempt)
     

  2. The market vendor fee must be paid in full by April 15th. You can pay online with your application or contact the Market Manager at farmersmarket@fwforward.org.
     

  3. A copy of your General Liability Insurance must be submitted by April 30th. PG County requires $500,000 in coverage naming Fort Washington Forward Inc

  4. Copies of Permits and Insurance Certificates may also be emailed to farmersmarket@fwforward.org,  Subject: 2024 FM Permit / Certificate.

Am I required to sign up for every market day?

  1. No, it is not required. However, Full Season sign-up is preferred.
     

  2. Vendors registering for a full season will be given preference as available vendor spaces fill up.
     

  3. Can’t commit for the full season? We can welcome you on a monthly basis. Select your months attending for just $60 per month for a vendor spot.
     

  4. Or you can also cover the full schedule by finding a “partner” vendor for off dates. “Partner vendors” must also apply, subject to approval. Notify the Market Manager of a partnership to secure your spot for the season. A partnership is up to you. Forward Farmers Market will not facilitate the arrangements.

  5. The Market Manager reserves the right to approve any “partner vendor.”
